This image is one of my all time favorite portraits. The beauty of this woman is overwhelming to me. The happiness in her smile warms my soul every time I look at it....and I look it single day because I hung this portrait on the wall of my home. This image silently speaks of true beauty in the world.

I had the privilege of sleeping under this woman's home in a hammock. Her family were the most amazing hosts during my several visits to the village. The small village is located several hours outside of Siem Reap. We road on a motorbike on highways and dirt roads to reach the village.

In the village the cows causally walk themselves home from the fields before dusk.

Our dinner of fresh fish caught from the river, served by candlelight. It tasted amazingly delicious.

Local rice wine made in the village. Depending on the recipe and who made the rice wine the color of this local drink varies from a light honey color to bright pink koolade color but with a much stronger kick.
